I love the John Russell Fearn novels, particularly the Locked Rooms. I have read the Black maria novels also.
What do you think about his Locked Rooms?
One Renained Seated would seem to me being similar to other novels as those by Ellery Queen and F.G. Parke. I don't ask you about it because I have to read it also...
John, how are you?Pietro De Palmahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/06051060020493340331noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8787364257168822822.post-55311593045949365722011-04-02T05:45:13.509-05:002011-04-02T05:45:13.509-05:00James here. The detective in 'Framed in Guilt' actually is one Superintendent Henshaw, not Maria Black -even though it was originally published as by John Slate. The plot concerns a solicitor's clerk who is discovered on the floor of his employer's locked office with a knife stuck in his back. It is worth looking for too and was one of the titles reprinted in large print.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-8787364257168822822.post-86873505845023345122011-04-01T16:50:37.941-05:002011-04-01T16:50:37.941-05:00I can't believe someone beat me to my impossib...I can't believe someone beat me to my impossible murder in a theatre idea! The premise of One Who Remained Seated sounds exactly like the plot a few of us were playing around with last year – and Patrick even worked the solution, I proffered, into a short story.TomCathttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03415176301265218101noreply@blogger.com
